This year again, the readers of Index will decide who will receive the Audience Award at the Média Építészeti Díja (Media Architecture Awards). We present ten buildings selected by the professional jury of the Építészfórum (Architects’ Forum). You have the right to either praise them to the skies or condemn them to the dust. High scores for the former, low for the latter. The field is particularly strong this year. The winners will be announced on Friday evening at a gala at the Uránia cinema.

The end result is an industrial building with classic lines, with clever spatial games to indicate which century we are in. The traditional house form is made exciting by the inwardly drawn glass façade and the symmetry-breaking planes that are carved out around it.
The minimalism inside is slightly loosened by a theatrical curtain and green walls around the stairs. If you’re an eco-warrior and don’t mind if a new building isn’t actually new, give it a high score.
